You’d think it’d be impossible to describe London as a ghost town, a vibrant city with a population of 9.3 million and such varied cultural offer that attracted 40.857 million of visitors during 2019. I sometimes like seeing how London looks like without so many people and cars, which is why I have enjoyed the video below.

Travel is one of those aspects that have changed dramatically as a result of the health measures imposed to one tird of the world’s population, whether it is travelling to and from work or for leisure. Public transport service in London has been greatly reduced too as a result. This is having a positive effect in the environment in London and elsewhere.

The WHO estimates that three million people die each year as a result of air pollution. Only two weeks after the lockdown was imposed in UK at the end of March, pollution in UK fell as much as 60% compared to the same period in 2019. In fact, new evidence shows that polluition helps to spread the virus. So, this lockdown has brought something positive.

So, with the good wheather we have had recently and less pollution, people and cars, it must’ve been really enjoyable for Chris to cruise London on his cool One Wheel electric skateboard. He visited areas in South London near the Thames, such as the Shard.

The video has been nicely edited. Enjoy!
