One of the most appealing aspects of London is the creativity that this city oozes. Designer? Photographer? Writer? It\u00b4s so much easier to develop your own\u00a0creativity and meet others like you\u00a0here. The same goes for marketers.<\/p>\n<p>Technology has had a lot to do with this. Just think of the internet and all the gadgets we keep hearing about\/ lusting\u00a0after. I can\u00b4t help thinking that 100 years ago things were pretty much the same up to a certain extent. People\u00a0tried to get used to the new scientific discoveries and\u00a0inventions\u00a0just like we\u00a0have all needed to use e-mails to communicate with\u00a0our friends, do internet banking or use social media. Language also needed to be adapted. Adertising, one of marketing tools, was not even recognised as a profession until after 1950\u00b4s, as TV series Mad Men reminds us.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>It\u00a0has the great advantage of allowing the\u00a0quick production and dissemination of communications.\u00a0To avoid problems,\u00a0a \u00b4<a href=\"http:\/\/w3schools.invisionzone.com\/index.php?act=announce&amp;f=6&amp;id=9\">netetiquette<\/a>\u00b4 has been\u00a0developed.\u00a0Guidelines for the better use of social media have been developed too. E-mails used\u00a0for marketing purposes are now even more targeted than ever\u00a0to\u00a0avoid bothering customers unnecessarily &#8211; or rather, not having any business at all.\u00a0Even the use of\u00a0the subject line and the\u00a0\u00b4from\u00b4 fields has been optimised. 10 years ago, we did not use Facebook nor LinkedIn\u00a0nor video channels.<\/p>\n<p>So many channels so readily available to produce comms products.\u00a0There is so much creativity that\u00a0it can be a little hard to keep up.
