I guess this is a trending topic on the internet at the moment, and it is no wonder why! \u00a0\"CrisisEveryone says that this is going to be a tough year in economic terms. While I am crossing \u00a0my fingers and working to avoid\u00a0last year\u00b4s hard situation, I would also\u00a0like to share here what I\u00a0learnt in case it is useful to anyone.<\/p>\n

Crisis in London? What crisis? Here are my tips to help you carry on.<\/p>\n

  1. Keep calm and carry on.
    \n<\/strong>Well, that\u00b4s easy to say, isn\u00b4t it? Hard to believe as may sound, there certainly is\u00a0light at the end of the tunnel. Thinking too much about a problem would only\u00a0land me in a bigger hole. What about some reiki<\/a><\/strong>?<\/li>\n
  2. Keep informed.
    \n<\/strong>Out of work or whatever, but not out of\u00a0life. Key thing here is building a knowledge of the <\/span>big picture.\u00a0<\/span>It is even more important now to know what\u00b4s going on in your work area, as we<\/span>l<\/span>l as in the rest of the wor<\/span>ld.<\/span>\u00a0What about attending     networking events<\/a><\/strong>?<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Sit down and do some thinking.
    \n<\/strong>What is it that has\u00a0landed you in this situation? What are your priorities? What would you\u00a0like to do now? A piece of paper and a pen<\/strong> is all you need to put your thoughts in perspective. Surely coffee and cake\u00a0in a nice place help too!\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Keep yourself\u00a0organised.
    \n<\/strong>After you know what you want, it is time to see how you are going to do it. While out of work, I used to be much busier than in any of my jobs! Job hunting, reading, freelancing,\u00a0some volunteering, etc…
    \n<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. At the supermarket…
    \n<\/strong>Try out the cheaper range, the non-branded products<\/strong> or white brand. They can provide good value for money too.
    \nI would also encourage you to try the 99p Stores or Poundland. For those abroad, these shops sell mostly\u00a0branded products for 99p, so you can get stuff that can cost at\u00a0least double that.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Get about town.\"Crisis<\/strong>
    \nLondon is a very expensive city. But, there are a few unexpensive     things to do<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0like\u00a0street performances,\u00a0lunch time gigs, pub gigs.\u00a0
    \n<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Get s0me exercise!<\/strong>
    \nJust a bit of a walk<\/strong> to anywhere will do wonders to your mood,\u00a0let alone your body.<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. Try and have a\u00a0laugh!
    \nComedy<\/strong>, anyone? Some of these performances are for free. Otherwise, comedy programmes on TV can be equally good at times.<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
