Yes, it´s wedding time! Let´s get married.

Excited? I am not sure. I cannot even remember the previous royal wedding we had in Europe. People abroad seem to be overjoyed though. There is this lady in Mexico who staged a 16-day hunger strike only to get an invite to the wedding – to no avail. She isn´t attending.

Back in UK, I am under the impression that there are two very distinct groups. On the one hand, those who are really excited for them, and curious about the preparations. All those very frequent news on their preparation must have been eagerly followed by them. Did you know that Wills will not be wearing the ring after the wedding? Apparently, he doesn´t like jewellery. What about their cake? They don´t seem to like the traditional one that much, as they are going to have two – a traditional cake and a secret cake.

The second group involves all those who have already left UK for a few days and those who can´t but would love to. If you watched 10 O´clock Live on Channel 4 two weeks ago, Lauren Laverne jokes about the topic, while Charlie Booker did the same in last week´s programme.

Marketing strategies have also included the wedding as part of their appeal. For example, Nando´s thanks Wills for his decision to marry Kate in their latest radio ad. Reason? There is a bank holiday!! Ah, yes. How could I have forgotten about that! The longest bank holiday in history in UK. We all thank and congratulate them.

T-Mobile released a spoof commercial too, which has become subject of a viral and, of course, has helped to publicise the brand.
