I am starting to be! It is almost Sunday roast time in\u00a0London. I enjoy the <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright\" title=\"Hungry? 6 Unusual Eateries\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gussdrivein.com\/images\/time-to-eat.jpg\" alt=\"Hungry? 6 Unusual Eateries\" width=\"126\" height=\"67\" \/>\u00a0usual things to eat and cook. But, I occasionally want something different, whether it is the type food or the place &#8211; or both. Then, it is when I look for\u00a0the quirky and unusual places to eat in London.<\/p>\n<p>Granted that <em>unusual<\/em>\u00a0can mean various things to people. That is, if one is used to, say, burgers, then probably any nice salad or a Swedish dish can be unusual and adventurous.<\/p>\n<p>There are a few eateries in\u00a0London\u00a0that I have not tried yet, and some others that I\u00b4d love to try.\u00a0Let\u00b4s take a walk and find somewhere to eat today, shall we?<!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>RootMaster<\/strong><br \/>\nFancy vegan? When the old Route Master buses were replaced by those horrible bendy buses, people could buy them for personal or professional use. This was permanently parked in Brick\u00a0Lane. Now, I am not sure it still is there, but its <a title=\"Hungry? 6 Unusual Eateries\" href=\"http:\/\/veganbackpacker.com\/blog\/rootmaster-bus-vegan-restaurant-london-uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">quirky offering<\/a> is well worth a check.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Hungry? 6 Unusual Eateries\" src=\"http:\/\/farm2.static.flickr.com\/1085\/4607019885_832eb31529.jpg\" alt=\"Hungry? 6 Unusual Eateries\" width=\"270\" height=\"203\" \/><\/li>\n<li><strong>Dans\u00a0le Noir<\/strong><br \/>\nHow can one <a title=\"Hungry? 6 Unusual Eateries\" href=\"http:\/\/www.danslenoir.com\/london\/history.php\" target=\"_blank\">eat in the dark<\/a>? Apparently, the idea is to re-evaluate one\u00b4s sense of taste and smell, and one is served by blind staff. I\u00a0like the idea, as we tend to rely too much on our sight.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rainforest Caf\u00e9<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is just off Piccadilly Circus.\u00a0Apparently, one can expect to feel a bit as if they were in a <a title=\"Hungry? 6 Unusual Eateries\" href=\"http:\/\/www.rainforestcafe.com\/menu.asp\" target=\"_blank\">rain forest<\/a> itself. Cuisine is American and tropical, whatever that means. I\u00b4ve also heard that Bill Wyman, the ex-Rolling Stone, is part of this project.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Inamo<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is for the inner geek. The menu, Pan-Asian, is projected onto the table, which can be navigated using touch. That is,\u00a0like a big smartphone these days. I\u00b4m sure there are other geeky things to enjoy there. I\u00b4d\u00a0love to try food there some time. <a title=\"6 Unusual Eateries\" href=\"http:\/\/www.inamo-restaurant.com\/pc\/\" target=\"_blank\">Unusual<\/a>, heh?<\/li>\n<li><strong>Garlic and Shots<\/strong><br \/>\nIt might\u00a0look\u00a0like a bikers or a metaheads bar in Soho &#8211; and that\u00b4s what it is. It is quite nice to go there for a drink, even if you do not like metal\u00a0that much. I\u00b4ve never eaten here. They say that ice-cream is served with lashings of garlic. This is for the <a title=\"Hungry? 6 Unusual Eateries\" href=\"http:\/\/www.garlicandshots.com\/html\/menu.html\" target=\"_blank\">adventurous<\/a> of you!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Hungry? 6 Unusual Eateries\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nomadicmatt.com\/images\/londonfood3.jpg?4c9b33\" alt=\"Hungry? 6 Unusual Eateries\" width=\"323\" height=\"172\" \/><\/li>\n<li><strong>The Crypt<\/strong>, at St Martin-in-the-Fields church<br \/>\nIt might sound a bit weird. But, this cafeteria\/ restaurant is actually one of the best places to eat if you are in the Trafalgar\u00a0Square area in\u00a0London. Unpretentious, unexpensive, home-made food served in a former church crypt &#8211; <a title=\"Hungry? 6 Unusual Eateries\" href=\"http:\/\/www2.stmartin-in-the-fields.org\/page\/cafe2010\/cafe.html\" target=\"_blank\">unusual enough<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Contrary to what one might think, it is full of\u00a0locals and tourists alike. In fact, many churches and holy buildings in\u00a0London have re-converted their crypts, and now serve food and drink. Some others, hold <a title=\"Hungry? 6 Unusual Eateries\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mass-club.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">bars and gig venues<\/a>!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/alondonerfromafar.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/signature.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-541\" title=\"A Londoner from Afar\" src=\"https:\/\/alondonerfromafar.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/signature.png\" alt=\"A Londoner from Afar\" width=\"216\" height=\"46\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hungry already?
