Events in London: Music! (infographic)
Crazy about music as I am, music is one of my first options when considering what to do. It is also one of the main aspects that keep me in London. It is so easy to go to just the pub round the corner and find some live music to wind down.
It is big business here. It was not that easy to find 10 years ago, when I came, unless one knew some people or places. Famous bands are quite easy to find. My favourite type of gigs though are the smaller bands in the pub circuit.
Nowadays, there are quite a few websites out there, such as SpoonFed, that tell you where to go and what to see. It can be really hard some times to choose, with so many pubs and venues, like The Bull and Gate showcasing many groups. They sometimes are the same groups every, say, Thursday night. There are also many venues where promoters such as Club Fandango bring a variety of artists every night. There is even a gigging community, Music Born .
Are you the festival type? I hope that the UK music festivals calendar infographic below helps you find your way this summer.
