Picture Wednesday – Play Me!
People rushing around is one of the aspects that tend to define every big city. Some times, stopping by a nice building or sculpture cannot be possible. We don’t even think about that old building as a monument any more. From time to time, we can come across a variety of objects on the streets of London. Some of them may seem to be left there by mistake at first, but which follow a fantastic logic once we know what is all about.
By objects, I mean a variety of sculptures, which are usually aimed at making us stop and think or smile. Anything from elephants or shoes to musical instruments, which members of the public can also play. The pic below shows one of these objects, now at a trendy bar in North London.
Have you ever played piano in the middle of the street?
Thanks for checking this week’s Picture Wednesday!
A Londoner from Afar
I’m almost convinced this is the same piano that I’ve seen in London’s Victoria Embankment Gardens and in York. It was amazing, just before Christmas and a man was sitting at the piano outside York Minster playing “Hallelujah”.
It could be. I came across a similar one in Camden a few days ago.
I would play that piano. I only know one tune but I would play it.
Yes, it does encourage you to go and play, diesn’t it? 🙂
