Unusual Coffee
It might be that times of hardship make creativity increase. I’m not talking about selling new or unusual types of coffee, such as kopi luwak. London surely is the place to find unusual things though, wouldn’t you agree?
Now, where else would you expect to have coffee apart from home or a coffee shop?
Well, if you are in London, you might as well think about black cabs. Actually, you’d have it from a black cab. I’ve come across a a black cab coffee shop business in East London.
OK, there’s a company that serves coffee out of a van, which are all over town. Some even have some sitting space around.
It’s just that it is so suitable to find that in a place where over-priced hipster coffee shops keep opening, particularly in East London. The company that runs this unusal coffee joint has them for hire at events, pretty much like the ‘secret’ beer vans that I’ve seen at some parties.
On another note, it is interesting to see how good coffee is the drink of choice these days, at least the one that we hear the most. This also happens in some US television series, where they make a clear distinction between high end coffee, made with certain types of beans, and simply office coffee.
You might think that this is all marketing. But, don’t you love fresh ideas? Have you come across any unusual businesses in London or elsewhere?
